LIJ — Get the Facts

On September 24, 2025, the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) filed a petition for a union election for registered nurses at Northwell’s Long Island Jewish Medical Center (LIJ). While we respect LIJ RNs’ right to organize, we strongly believe that you are best served by the relationship we have currently.

Employers are required by law to only share facts when discussing unionization. Unlike NYSNA, we can’t make promises we might not be able to keep. This site is dedicated to informing our nurses and providing you with ALL of the facts about unionization.

Hear from your colleagues about their work at LIJ and experiences with NYSNA and other unions in the workplace
